DESCRIPTION:

The PLS Model MC03 Minicase is compatible with other industry standard Minicase 4-20mA Transmitter products.  The MC03 is designed to hold the transmitter sections of the PLS PS11B flex assembly.  The completed Minicase bolts into electrical boxes or other electronics enclosures used in temperature measurement systems.  The MC03 Minicase is a single molded piece with a top that is hinged to the bottom.  The transmitter section of the flex can be quickly and easily installed in the case with no tools as described below.  The finished case securely holds the spring-force terminal block, making it very quick and easy for the user to connect the 4-20mA current loop wires.  The programming jack lid can be opened to plug in the programmer cord to re-program the temperature range of the PS11B in the field.  The Part # and Serial # can be read through the window in the top.

INSTALLING THE PS11B FLEX TRANSMITTER IN THE MC03 CASE:

The PS11B flex transmitter assembly can be quickly and easily installed in the MC03 case using no tools as follows:

Photo 1 shows the correct positioning of the PLS flex assembly on the left side of the open Minicase.  The terminal block and programming jack are pushed into the openings.

Photo 2 shows the correct position of the circuit section of the flex assembly.  The flex between the output section and the circuit sections should be gently bent as the circuit section is pressed into the supports on the right side of the Minicase. Notice the Serial Number is facing up so it is visible when the case is closed.  Flex should be treated with care and it should never be creased or pinched when closing the Minicase as the flex contains electrical traces that can be broken if mishandled.

Photo3 shows the final assembly of the flex transmitter installed in the Minicase with its part Number and Serial Number showing.  The programming jack cover can be snapped shut for a completed assembly.
