DESCRIPTION:
The PLS Model MC01 Minicase is compatible with other industry standard Minicase 4-20mA Transmitter products. The MC01 is designed to hold the transmitter sections of the PLS PS11 or FS11 flex assembly. The completed minicase bolts into electrical boxes or other electronics enclosures used in temperature measurement systems. The MC01 minicase is a single molded piece with a Top that is hinged to the Bottom. The transmitter section of the flex can be quickly and easily installed in the case as described below. The finished case securely holds the spring-force terminal block, making it quick and easy to connect the 4-20mA current loop wires. The programming jack lid can be easily opened to plug in the programmer cord to re-program the temperature range of the PS11 in the field. The Part # and Serial # can be easily read through the window in the Top.

INSTALLING A FLEX TRANSMITTER IN THE MC01 CASE:
The flex assembly can be quickly and easily installed in the MC01 case as follows:
Insert and seal the sensor in a metal sensor tube with fittings suitable for attaching to the electrical box or other electronic enclosure.
Feed the transmitter section of the flex assembly through the sensor tube attachment hole and attach the sensor tube to the electrical box or other electronic enclosure.
Open the Top (if not already open) and push the terminal block into the opening in the Top.
Route the flex between the Circuit Board and the Output Board into the open area between the Top and the Bottom.
NOTE: Do not bend the flex tighter than ~1/10” radius to prevent cracking copper traces on the flex.
Snap the Circuit Board section of the flex into the guides in the Bottom with the Serial # facing up.
Close the Top and snap securely.
Attach the completed case to the electrical box or other electronic enclosure.
